About Dr. Schofield

Dr. Schofield is a clinical psychologist and full-time faculty member at Skidmore College where she studies and teaches about evidence-based treatments of anxiety disorders and how to promote knowledge of these approaches. She completed her doctoral degree at Binghamton University and a post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University.

The course learning objectives are:

  1. Consider how access to evidence-based therapies has been undermined by the disconnect between clinical science and practice.
  2. Learn how the Unified Protocol attempts to address this disconnect by providing a transdiagnostic approach to treating common forms of psychological distress.
  3. Become familiar with the structure and approach of the Unified Protocol and the empirical evidence evaluating this approach (unifiedprotocol.com)
