The workshop will include discussion of:

  • Types of patients with chronic pain, including challenges that arise in the course of treatment
  • The biopsychosocial model of chronic pain
  • Psychosocial factors influencing the experience of pain, including mood, anxiety, social context, behavioral patterns
  • Pain management tools/techniques
  • Measures to monitor treatment progress
  • Goal-setting

CE Credits:

This workshop is approved for 3.5 CE hours for NYS Social Workers and LMHCS
